2013

May - Consultation on Practice Directions Begins

Work to develop all the necessary documentation to enable operation of the College of Audiologists and Speech – Language Pathologists of Manitoba continues.  The Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA) gives a college authority to issue practice directions.

The Cover MEMO provides information on the purpose of practice directions and may assist in your review. 

The MSHA Board of Directors, committees, and staff have worked to develop drafts of the following practice directions:

  1. CASLPM Practice Direction - CLIENT CENTERED CARE    2013 05
  2. CASLPM Practice Direction - MINIMUM PRACTICE HOURS    2013 05
  3. CASLPM Practice Direction - RECORD KEEPING    2013 05
  4. CASLPM Practice Direction USE of TITLES, CREDENTIALS, CERTIFICATION DESIGNATIONS AND USE OF THE TITLE "DOCTOR"   2013 05

Member consultation is now open.  MSHA members are invited to review drafts of the proposed CASLPM Practice Directions and submit comments.

There is no formal survey or response form.  After reviewing each of the proposed CASLPM Practice Directions, please submit comments by e – mail to Lori McKietiuk:

Comments will be received from Friday 10th May to Friday 7th June 2013.

April - CASLPM proposed by – laws: Formal Consultation LAUNCHED

The MSHA Board of Directors, committees and staff have worked to develop a draft of the proposed By – Laws which outline matters of governance for the College of Audiologists and Speech – Language Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM) necessary to establish the College under the Regulated Health Professions Act.

Member consultation is now open.  MSHA members are invited to review the draft of the proposed CASLPM By – Laws and submit comments. The Cover MEMO outlines the key elements of the proposed By - Laws to assist in your review.
